This is a favourite spot of mine in South Johnstone just 5 minutes down the road from Innisfail. You can sit out the front with cane trains rumbling past, or inside with art hanging on the walls, or out the back with sunshine and a very green view. Anne & Mick do all kinds of coffees (including a great frothy mocha) and fabulous food.

One of Anne’s best creations in my opinion is the “Savoury Cheesecake” and it was on the menu today. I grabbed their copy of the Australian and our local Advocate and spent a lazy hour out the back enjoying my mocha in a mug followed by the “pot-luck” platter:  a full plate of dips (I counted seven!) with greens and veggies and the savoury – not sweet – cheesecake, and served with homemade bread.
